Wow I've been living here for 7 years and have always typed "Pounds" in emails to back home!!! Thanks for the heads up!!!
BTW I find booking in advance for christmas the cheapest option. In fact it's too late now but the prices in January for the following Christmas are always fantatsic! Am considering a quick jaunt home to London myself in December but the no hand luggage rule is putting me off. Fine for adults but can't imagine keeping the kids amused for 8 hours with no toys/books....

Weird - the 'alt 156' doesn't work for me, I get nothing at all!
You can also use the "character map" for a "£" sign if you have windows
Start > All Programs > accessories > system tools > character map. (Select, then copy the "£" and paste away to your heart's content).
(we should all be visiting the system tools weekly anyway to access disk clean up and defrag in order to 'housework' and keep yer puters happy
)
