I'm actually considering the need to "catch up" on some vaccinations.
I know I never had the MMR , it was still separate jabs when I was in school. I have distinct memories of only the girls having to have the rubella jab in middle school.

Working in a school,it probably wouldn't hurt to have it.

Am also wondering about Hepatitis , I know they do school kids here. It was never offered in the UK. I'm curious about the reasoning behind that

If you've had the single jabs why would you want to repeat them as one dose? Although I've heard that all of the MMR components only last 10-15 years.

Yep, hepatitis, grade 7 on the link I posted on page 1, 2 doses. I'd like to know the reasoning too. Or is it just because they can?

I know I've had rubella jab.I'm not convinced I was ever vaccinated against measles and I had mumps on one side , so obviously not vaccinated against that.

If you've had mumps then you should be immune to it though, yes? Wonder if they'd give you measles on its own, or run a titre if you need proof for the mumps too?

If you've had chicken pox get yourself the shingles vaccine. It can be really debilitating and can last a long time. A neighbour is presently suffering from it around her eyes and believe me, it's not to be envied. It can be most painful.

I believe it's only advocated in older people ie over 60. Of course that's why the chicken pox vaccine is being offered because of the effects of Shingles.
