My boyfriend and I decided to apply in Manila for permanent residency. He's a mauritian and we applied thru agency. We're both from IT and have a strong IT experience and education. I received my visa last Mar. 2001 without interview but we both filed our application last August 2000. Our dilemma is his application is really taking a lot of time since he's a foreigner. Now we're planning to get married this year and at the same time to speed up also his application. Do we need to pull out his application in Manila and file my sponsorship here in Vancouver? Can I just apply as conjugal sponsorship? What are the requirements when processing this kind of special case? Please advice. Thank you very much.
