Have you noticed recently how nearly 50% of Calgary Police interviewed on the news have UK accents?

I met one in person yesterday nice young lad he was, looked like he was barely old enough to shave he wasn't a Brit though.

Got me a bloody speedin' ticket didn't I.

Oh well there goes $103 to support the province.

Congratulations and well done to you both. I am actually sat in the Auditorium at Ontario Police College (only a few weeks to go now). If the training in Calgary is similar he should have fun. The training I had in the UK was good, but to be fair I think it has been better here. They seem to give much more consideration to officer safety. Sometimes it makes me wonder how I survived 6 years in the UK!!

There has been a fair bit of poaching over the last year or so! Calgary also have 27 PNP places to allocate this year - not that we needed that route as it happens - but beware, there's a few more en route !! And there was you guys thinking you could get away from us !! (It's actually not that large a percentage of the total but maybe they just pick the good 'uns to go in front of the camera - it's that british dashing-good-looks thing, isn't it ??!! )
