We are moving to Canada in July. Is there any restrictions to carry Gold while you travel to Canada.

No, just declare it on your goods accompanying list.

customs recommend that you take photos and have any valuable jewelry's value appraised , I believe.

If you are carrying gold bar or coins worth more than $10,000 you must declare it to customs.

.. but you WONT be taxed on it... its there as a guard against money laundering etc.

why are you bothering..........just put it in an envelope and send it to "Cash for Gold" as seen on TV
