Default Canadian Affair 'code'

I know you can use 'discover canada' on the Canadian Affair UK website to get a 10% discount.

Anybody know if there is an equivalent on the Canadian website ?

It's Connect Canada now though. Discover Canada no longer works...

Does anyone know if these savings include discount codes? And do they only bill in UKP if you go via the UK call centre (presume this is the case, but it'd be nice if they will bill in CAD so can avoid foreign currency loading on Canadian CC - otherwise I'll use a UK one).

Also, are there any scheduled "sale" times around this time of year - I seem to recall fares on the CA site fluctuating a fair bit in the past.

Thanks!

What I will say is that if you are flying from Canada ensure you phone the London office and get a price quoted in GBP.

The website is always alot more expensive.

E.g my wife is coming over to the uk in easter.

Web $887 inc Taxes
Uk over the phone £410 = $647ish inc taxes.

So even though the previous poster said about exchange rates fees on cards with a saving like this you would still save!

I typed in the code and nothing seemed to change. Is this only from Canada to UK?

UK call centre was actually more expensive for me. Although I did have the code to use on the website (thanks for this!).

Costs

Ottawa to Gatwick, May 8th -> June 12, 2 adults 1 infant:

Canadian website: $1402.20
UK call centre: 1165.50 pounds = $1,835.57

Anyone thinking of booking, worth noting that a $40 pp fuel surcharge will be applying to booking after January 31st.

connect canada works until the 31st

And from the 31st Canadian affair / air transat are putting on a 10£ pp fuel surcharge each way.. so if you know your dates might be worth booking before then

I just booked some flights and got return for £250 quid!

Isn't it cheaper going to Air Transat directly?

And for me Transat directly is $150 more than Canadian Affair if the code is used.

By the way, for anyone travelling with Infants, it looks like taxes are charged from the UK, but not from Canada, making it cheaper to book here.
