I was wondering if anyone knows of any good campsites in Calgary? My best friend is coming to Canada in July and we are going to take her to the stampede.

Last time we were in Calgary we stayed in an amazing BandB, but there are a few of us going down this time, so we have decided to camp. We will be taking a vehicle, but we would like somewhere where we can either walk or take public transport. Finding parking during the stampede is not fun!!

I hear that that Prince's Island is the place where the hobos hang out. I can't imagine how you will be able to camp, but still be within walking distance of the Stampede grounds.

I am pretty sure you will have to have some transport to get you to the Stampede grounds anyhow - taxi etc.
