Calling all dog lovers!

Hi,
I thought I would post this link here:
http://www.dogsnose.org/about.html
I am part of a team who have come up with a website, database and forum aimed specifically at helping rescue dogs across the English speaking world and would like to invite you to come and have a look and sign up if you want to help rescue dogs, wherever you are.
Please have a read of the "Dogsnose News" tab for more info.
I hope that this isn't against any site rules and apologise in advance if anyone feels that this is inappopriate.
Cheers
Tim

Many thanks all for your kind words...The site is only in its infancy at the moment so please spread the word..We are adding breed and general rescues all the time so if you know of any that aren't listed then please point them in our direction and we can add them..
Its brilliant to read that you guys have taken on rescue dogs - Well done you
We don't have dogs at the moment, despite desperately wanting one or two, but we decided to wait until we get to Canada and will then get a couple of rescues.
Many thanks again for your kind words and support
Cheers

They are my fav breed as well. DH like rotties but not sure if we are going to get one at some stage although I feel 4 dogs at the moment is more than enough

Thanks Silverdragon and Juswus...
I like rotties too...its just a shame they have had such a bad press...They can be so loyal and gentle..

Well done for doing this Tim, we're very involved in dog rescue here (fostering, homechecks, admin help, etc for 3 rescues) and I really want to continue once in Canada so I shall be bookmarking your site!
Good work!

Hi,
Well I think we all have a soft spot for different dogs depending on our experiences...I also like the newfoundlands and the huskies / malamute types...
There were quite a few Springers at the police dog school aswell - great noses and great characters
My plan when we get to Canada is to hopefully build and run a boarding kennels and maybe have a few spaces for rescues aswell...
Please point the rescues you are involved with in our direction and get them to register and sign up...The more rescues and volunteers we get signing up the more dogs will be helped.
Thanks for your kind words

thats excellent. I am moving to Calgary from Tenerife and bringing my dog with me, a rescue dog, he was in such a terrible state when we found him (he found us?) how could i not bring him to Calgary! its costing tons £1500 but gotta be done.

admittedly, I am doing it all my self, but £1500 for 1 seems steep!

yes it is a lot, but then he has a 4 hour flight from tenerife to Gatwick, over night in quarantine, then onwards the next day to Calgary. There are no flights from mainland spain to Calgary, would be much cheaper if there was. He has to stay in quarantine at Gatwick due to UK requiring the 6 month blood test.
