Default Calgary's Bitter winter...

It's been colder than normal, snowier than normal I've moaned about it like everyone else, but I didn't think it was "that" bad.

Glad I moved to the Eleventh Floor then. (I had a (minor) mouse problem LAST year)

You had Minnie Mouse in the building?

You didn't say anything about Disneyland north.

I'm not totally convinced it was snowier but we didn't get the warm spells (Chinooks) to melt any of it this winter.

So we have way more snow on the ground than normal.

My erstwhile Californian, and now Calgarian, friend was moaning just the other day. Her parents-in-law live with her and she says they haven't been out of the house for months.

According to David Phillips, the weather network guy this was the coldest winter in Saskatchewan for 30 years. But I haven't seen any mice around thank goodness!

I agree with you Steve. We had about 3 really heavy falls in December which as you say didnt get the chance to melt. Since then we have only had the odd falls of an inch to 3 inches. We need a good spell of warmish weather now to melt the couple of feet of snow we still have hanging around most of our garden.

On the plus side, it's been so cold that we don't seem to have had anywhere near as much snow as we did last year.

Yup agreed we've had weekend afternoons of roasting weiners round the fire pit - its lovely to get wrapped up and do that

Edited to add with the snow still on the ground the planned Easter Egg hunt for some friends kids may have to be changed slightly as I paint all the brightly coloured eggs white
