Cable TV/Internet/Phone

Does anyone have any recommendations and/or horror stories (STAY AWAY!!!) regarding any particular service provider?
I've looked at videotron and Bell but am a little confused by all the different packages etc. I just want decent TV service, basic home phone and internet without any daft download restrictions.

Not heard good things about Bell. Telus (phone and internet) have been OK for us and they now have TV and are resellers for Bell. Total package about $148.

We had Shaw previously, and now Telus.
I found Shaws customer service to be excellent, and could not fault them.
We switched to Telus in June (to take advantage of their free HD PVR offer) and similarly, have found them to be excellent so far. No complaints. We have the TV/Landline/Internet bundle, and havent experienced any interruptions/downtime etc.

We use Vonage for phone and pay the $40/mth which then includes free UK calls. It's worked well and has some neat features like getting voicemail to my e-mail and easy call forwarding etc that we've used.

Figured out why I couldn't see it/find it - they only have that page in French

Primus pretty good for the internet/phone. 64.95 with unlimited download, 7Mb speed, free Canada/US calls. 2c to the UK. Lots of useless calling features as well (18 I think though I have no idea what they all do).

Primus had to be the worst phone company I have ever had to deal with. I had so many problems with billing that they never did sort out, nor even seem interested in sorting out. I'd use semaphore before going back to them.

Yup, Shaw not available here
Telus seems to be available in other parts of Quebec (418 dialling code) and not Montreal

We found it a bit of a pain getting hooked up (though no worse than some of the stories of other companies). Since getting connected they have been fine, and they did compensate for the hassle. Internet is reliable and fast which and I like the free calls.

OH has heard from colleagues that videotron is a pile of cack too
Primus so far looking best for tv/net mainly due to no limits on downloads. Stuck with what to do for Tv though now.

We've been on Shaw in Calgary for internet and TV, which I don't think is available in Quebec. Service has been fine though they just jacked up their price by $4/mth for no reason. Started shopping around over the last couple of days after this and couldn't get as good a deal with Bell or Telus coming in a little more. Internet service in Calgary is best with Shaw from what I have heard.

Videotron is not a pile of cack. I can safely say that its the best internet you can get. In 4 years here my connection is never down. They will always
beat both Bell and Rogers on price. The internet is faster and more reliable as well. I have them for my home phone and TV also.
Most of my friends have videotron at least for internet. I would highly recommend them.
