Bell phone me a couple of times a day, every day, trying to sell something. I haven't heard this pitch but I don't get it at all; if the phone wiring in the house doesn't work wouldn't you just use a wireless phone ? For five or so years until recently we didn't bother with a home phone at all, we just used cellular phones and cable internet; that's a viable option unless you have a vast number of incoming calls.

The input is great, what about the programming side of things?
is the service better value for money with bell or rogers?
my son is a major soccer fan and bell offers a good range of soccer channels in their packages. what about rogers?

Having been on both, I can definitely say Bell is cheaper and the programming is almost identical. The only real difference is you can get the on-demand movies on Rogers but not on Bell. I never used that anyway (costs like renting the movie) so I didn't care about that.
