Are you in/going to older Burlington or NE area?? - not sure where to look. Have an Oakville realtor so we'll see. Can't be too far in as hubby needs to get to Mississauga each day.................

My husband needs to get into Misssissauga every day too. He will use the 407 thinks he can do it in about 25mins.

We are on Brant & Upper Middle.

Oh yes. Marmite and PB is a wonderful combination. It may sound odd but so does chili chocolate, which is also great.

Hi dollface

We are in Oakville and my OH travels to Mississauga to work, I suggest you travel his commute to get an idea of how long it will take which will give you an idea of how far out to live.
It may not look too far on the map, my OH has different routes for different times of the day.
Good luck with the househunting, there seems to be plenty of choice in Oakville at the moment, lots of open houses.

Thanks. We're still here and still looking. Not alot in our price range and have all but run out of options! $520k dont buy much in Oakville :( where about are you?

Hi
Your head must be spinning looking at all those houses, hopefully the right house will be just around the corner.
We are off Dorval in Oakville, there are a couple of houses down the road from us and the money they are asking is silly, when we bought ours it had been empty for a while and needed quite abit of updating so it was a lucky find for us.
Sorry can't help with Georgetown only been there once.
Good luck with the search

Thanks...........out heads are spinning. We ove the Ford area but not a hope ! looked at Bronte Creek also as well as every area in between. I'd rather be in Oakville but looking unlikey, the market has once again exploded there. See what today brings. Going back to Ottawa Monday so running out of time. :fingerscrossed:

Georgetown and Acton are probably a lot cheaper. However compared to
the surrounding towns they seem to have been left behind a bit by way of updating and development.

Sadly, the homes you see on MLS look fine but when you actually get inside them it's a whole different story :( for lots of reasons. Found only 1 in Bronte Creek and 1 in Georgetown worth putting an offer on, both still needed work and listed for around $550k.

Actually, Georgetown seems to hold it's price pretty well, similar to parts of Mississauga and Oakville. Can't comment on Acton.

Extremely helpful! Thanks, if we lived in NW Oakville cost would be around $2600 annually.
