Not true. It is readily available in just about any grocery store. Certainly in Superstore and Sobeys. It is no more expensive than other brands. I have been buying it for many many years.

OMG how did I get it so wrong! oh well one less thing to worry about.

Thanks for letting me know.

Good grief. Are you clinically insane? Marmite is like a fine malt. One does not adulterate it with anything other than butter (or peanut butter).

Indeed see you don't have to worry about that :D. Personally I like PG tips but can't get them in my supermarket so my cousin kindly buys them for me from hers plus visitors bring some too - I think I have a years worth now!

Happy tea drinking! Hope your move over goes smoothly and congrats on the house by the way I read your other thread :)

Ha ha no worries I was joking but hey as it turns out I can't read properly....thought you said you kept meeting 30 year olds not people who had lived here 30 years or so!! Being a late twenty something I thought you did not want to meet 30ish people. Doh best learn to read better!

BTW I know there is a meetup group for newcomers in Burlington as we met a couple once when we were in a bar but I dont know the age range. I have been told by another person that they are all at the older end but who knows.

Hi Deb,

I've not been on here for a bit. Anyway, i'm the same age group, have two kids 6 & 8 and have just sold our home in Ottawa and are now looking for a home in Burlington or Oakville. I do not know any of these areas at all well. Any neighbourhoods in Burlington I should avoid and ones I should be looking at??? When I get there I'm up for tea!!!! We'll be there July.

Hi Dollface,

You can't really go wrong with either Burlington or Oakville, l can't think of any particular area's to avoid.
l am differently up for a drink when you get here, l think soon we will have a few of us girls here and we can have a night out in the future when everyone has settled in.
Hope everyone will be up for it!!!!
Good luck with the move and l look froward to meeting you,
take care
Deb

We'll be there July 7th..................coming today to look for a home. I'm panicing that we've no where to live :o

Are you in/going to older Burlington or NE area?? - not sure where to look. Have an Oakville realtor so we'll see. Can't be too far in as hubby needs to get to Mississauga each day.................

Re: Burlington Ont

Hi dollface

We are in Oakville and my OH travels to Mississauga to work, I suggest you travel his commute to get an idea of how long it will take which will give you an idea of how far out to live.
It may not look too far on the map, my OH has different routes for different times of the day.
Good luck with the househunting, there seems to be plenty of choice in Oakville at the moment, lots of open houses.

Are you suggesting Marmite & Peanut Butter together???? DH and I have wars at the breakie table - him on one side with the marmite and me on the other with the PB - we've never considered a truce! :p
