my bf applied for his non student canadian visa today and he had to answer "Yes" to the "have you ever been charged/cautioned/warned in any country" cuz in 99 he was arrested and cautioned for possession of marijuana after a trip to amsterdam. This is when he was 16 and 10 years ago, how is this going to effect his visa?

Has he checked into whether or not he needs criminal rehabiliation? (not sure if he does or not as he was only 16?). If so, has he applied for it? http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Crimin...itation-Canada

I would call and ask Bunac...they are in the best position to tell you how it might affect his application for the programme. I'm sure they've heard it all before...I'm not sure in this situation whether rehabilitation would apply but they could most likely tell you.

I had a police caution on the record i submitted when i applied to bunac, it was never even mentioned.

Mine was alcohol related so might not be deemed as serious as drug possession?
