Default Broadband/ ADSL in rural Canada

Can anyone tell me or have a link to a website that could tell me the approx monthly cost of broadband/adsl in Canada.

We hope to live rurally if and when we get our residents visa so also wondered of the availability of such a service in these areas. We have also read of satellite broadband for rural residents?

Is there anyone out there who knows about these things as so far have been unable to find much on the web about it.

We are hoping to settle in Nova Scotia

many thanks
