Re: British Doctors in Winnipeg
am I the only one imagining a line up of our Eastern - um- members for want of a better word - bending over a bed waiting for something to be shoved up their bum

No, the post that got me banned was one on a thread entitled something like "What's the best thing that's happened to you in Canada?". My answer was truthful at the time but no car was involved. I don't think it would be possible to enjoy that combination of acts and drive off a cliff at the same time.

I don't think that one was deleted, I apologised on the thread for callously disregarding the incidental death of the fellationist. The car was an Austin-Healey 3000 Mk IIA in light metallic blue over cream, the heels matched the paintwork (the blue, obviously). The road was the PCH just above the Bixby Bridge. Pneumatic and blonde are, I think, your own projections, I don't recall specifying those.

Re: British Doctors in Winnipeg
Thank you so much folks for the great laugh this topic has given me (well apart for Zoe's and Adlantic Xpat's dad's and fledermaus's dad cancer sucks). Having to work with british doctors on a daily basis, they would love this thread.

I saw the British Doc yesterday, but it was OK, I just needed more of the pills that the SA Doc had prescribed me
It's actually quite strange seeing a Doc from England, with the same accent

My doc in Van is from the UK, pure coincidence, I rang they said they had one new doc taking patients and it turned out he is English and just moved here with his Canadian wife and kids, nice bloke.

Re: British Doctors in Winnipeg
I started off with a Canadian Doc but he was pretty awful - didn't pay attention to medical history stuff, missed out some important tests because he 'forgot' when I was pregnant and told me it 'wasn't the end of the world' and I had to make loads of appointments for the smallest things (because they get paid by the appointment apparently). He also managed to have me in tears (rare for me) when I was pregnant because he told me off for dieting when in fact I had been chucking up from morning sickness
When we moved across town one of the practices near me was taking on new patients at the time so I changed doctors and by fluke it turned out I got a British lady one. She is ace - not because she is British, but just because she is a great doctor*
* and there's my point
