Can you let us know what make and model number, because we have just been down Future Shop and they said it is illegal for them to sell multi region in Canada.
Thanks

Yup, as a few folks say above, a multi-region DVD player is the best way to go. We picked up a fairly cheap one here (BC, Canada) & it plays my DVD's from the UK without a glitch!

When we arrived here we bought a Nova DVD player, although it is multi region it seem to have problems with copies. We have now got a phillips for $99 from Best Buy! We got a code from the net and it's now region free. All it took was a number to be tapped in via remote and it work great!!!

Can someone recommend a website or source for the unlocking codes for dvds, we bought one recently and can't get it unlocked. The children are a bit annoyed when we can't watch our UK dvds of Thomas the Tank Engine on this machine. Thanks!

Hi,

If you use google and type "region hack, then add the make of your dvd player. i.e region hack phillips 550.
It should bring up the web sites.
Hope this helps
