Thanks for all the replies! Will do some more 'googling' to see what I can find! Nice to know there is competition though (in most areas), keeps prices more realistic one would hope!
How about groceries for a week? Family of 4, Mum,Dad and 2 kids (2 & 4 yrs old) .... no pets

If it is any guide, our family (Mum, Dad, 4 girls aged 13, 11, 9 and 7 plus 2 cats) spend around $250 per week on food.
But we are "foodies" - I refuse to buy pre-packaged anything and we like to eat well. And out of preference I will buy organic wherever possible. Plus due to allergies we have to buy several pricey substitutes for "normal" staples which adds to the cost.
But I keep costs down by cooking everything from scratch (pretty much essential with dairy allergies tbh), but we do eat a wide variety of foods.
