No one supports Hussein's murderous regime and justice must be served. However, using morals in this situation is dangerous. After all the USA is not squeeky clean in the morals area. Remember that Hussein was an ally of the USA who supplied him with the poisonous gas and was aware of him using it against the Kurds and chose to look the other away. In addition, some have suggested that George Bush is a war criminal by unilaterally launching a war without any evident threat to his country and thus contravening international convention. This in itself should raise moral questions.
I also have difficulty understanding how a so called Christian can initiate the deaths of many innocent civilians.
So I have a problem with the morals of both Hussein and the USA.
Also, it may be arrogant to assume that western values can be superimposed on a middle eastern country. Neighbouring countries are overlooking Hussein's brutality and are supporting Iraq by rejecting an invasion from the Christian west on an Arabic Moslem country.
Remember the morals of these countries permits public flogging, limb amputations and executions (unlike the private executions of Texas etc.). So introducing the morals aspect of this war can take us into some messy places.
I support the elimination of Hussein but I don't think that war is the best way. These actions are playing right into Bin Laden's hand by supporting rationale behind 9/11 that the USA is an imperialistic power determined to use military force to impose its will on Arabic Moslem countries.
This is not Anti-Americanism it is Anti-War. Neither do I think it's a particularly stupid remark

Iraqis don't seem to have a problem with Hussein's morals.
The stupidity of that remark is quite something. For every single month that Saddam has been in power (for well over twenty years now) he has been, on average, responsible for the deaths of over 5000 of his own people. And you say they don't have a problem with his morals! If this is the level of your argument then I'm going to leave this post alone for you to pollute with your smug superiour anti-americanisms.
