Dear All
Could you advise whether Canadian batteries are identical to the UK i.e. AAA, AA, C, D etc? Not so much worried about 'coding' just that they are same voltage and size for use in household equipment and children's toys.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks so much for the speedy response to both of you...will now breathe a huge sigh of relief about a number of the items Father Christmas might deliver that will still be of use in Canada when we land!
Happy Christmas!

Canadian batteries are superior to British ones as they provide electrickery in both English and French.

Battery sizes are a global standard, you can get them in any country. Hmmm, does this mean they're pretty much the only real global standard?

Ah but dont forget Canadian batteries are reverse polarity, so anything not specifically produced for the Canadian Market will 'run' backwards.
