B&Bs in N.S.
#1
apologies as I know I have seen some recommendations before but I can't find them.
We are planning to visit NS for a quick recci (work restraints) in May and are looking for B&Bs in the Halifax/Truro/North Shore areas.
Would really appreciate any recommendations/links, also cheap car hire at or close to the airport.
thanks

My husband stayed at The Royalty b&b in Turo and was very impressed with it and would stay there again when he goes back, he also hired a car at the airport and had no problems ( was booked on-line in advance ).
While trying to book b&b's at the time I noticed that the prices were much the same (although I thought they were quite expensive)
Hope it helps.

Can't help with a b&b, but for car hire we have always used:
www.wheelsabroad.com
We have used them on two occasion is Ontario and three occassions from Halifax airport.
They are always the cheapest I can find, but you do have to book 2 weeks in advance.
When you look online and are comparing, just be aware of what is included with each company.
Wheels abroad include the spouse at no extra charge and a few other things.
I can't remember what now.
Hope you have a great trip.

We stayed at the Consulate Inn in Pictou, near New Glasgow.
Really reasonable price, great place, great breakfasts, I would thoroughly recommend them

For car hire we always found the cheapest to be airline network who use 'Thrifty' at the airport. The website is now changed and can be found at http://www.netflights.com/

That sounds like a good price. Hadn't thought of a self catered house. Thanks for that suggestion.
