Arriving in Ontario for good mid August
#1
A quick note to thank everyone on the forum for all the helpful advice and support.
We are due to land permanently mid August, one question I need to ask is "what kind of references" would I need to rent accommodation should I be asked for any.
I can possibly get these sorted before we leave for good, so as to avoid any cockups.
Thanks in advance.

Reference from recent previous rental, bank references and statements, printed out credit score, employers references...
We provided all these and were accepted with the first house we applied for, which is unusual apparently.
Hope this helps!

go on to www.equifax.co.uk
and it costs about £15 for your credit report...the expiry is for a month, but it definetly helped with my dealings with RBC
it is the company that they use for searches

I have arranged to rent an apartment in London from August. This was all done by email, they then faxed me out a rental agreement, I filled it in and faxed it back. I then got a letter saying I was approved. I didnt send any credit report but I suppose some companies might want that.
Good luck with your move
