Applying for Citizenship before the completion of 3/4 years time frame
#1
Could be just a rumor but a friend of mine told me one can send Citizenship application 3-6 months before the completion of required time frame i.e. 3 out of 4 years. He said , CIC has got such long queues for citizenship applications that it normally takes them couple of months to start working on your application. Although i am in no rush but still want to know if its right to do that? What if application gets assessed before the completion of 3 years period. Its not worth taking chance but will appreciate if somebody shares the experience.

Unfortunately you have to sign that the info you give is true and accurate, and if you dont have the necessary days when you sign...then you wont get citizenship.
As with all CIC paperwork, you have to meet the necessary criteria when you submit the form, regardless of how long they might sit on it before looking at it, and what the situation might be at that time.

Worst case is a delay of months and then refusal, and the need to apply again (starting from back of queue).
