Hi everyone,
Firstly, had to change my login from RJH to this as my computer didn't seem to allow me to respond to any threads (screen wouldn't display correctly). Anyway ....
Got a brown envelope from the CHC yesterday asking me to submit an up-to date police certificate and up to date details on my funds hoping to take to Canada. It looks like they're getting onto the March batch (my application was sent in January 2004 and my AOR was 12th March 2004). I'm so pleased to get my first letter from the CHC (they haven't forgotten about me and still know I exist
!!!).
Has anyone else been asked to resubmit any details other than the police certificate?. I'm presuming that because it's been quite a while they have to check to ensure I still have the funds available I said I had?.
Also, the letter was a standard form they sent out, but it said on the back to allow up to 4 months to view these documents (even though in my case there's only going to be 2 of them). Does anyone have any experience of (or know of) the timescales involved ie will I have to wait an additional four months ?. Most literature says that requests for additional information can delay an application, but does this count for updates to correctly sent documents as well ?
Many thanks in advance

Congratulations! Good to see they're moving through the March AORs now - we got our med requests at the weekend, AOR 2/3.
I'm sure someone with actual experience will respond to your question, but I don't think it has been taking the warned 2-3 months processing after medicals before people have been getting the requests for passports. I also look forward to hearing people's experiences.

Congratulations on hearing something. I'm also March AOR and got my med requests on 25th July, did my medicals last week and my results are being sent to CHC today. I wan't asked for anything but landing fees so unfortunately cannot comment on additonal timescales for reviewing additional documentation.

Thanks dkvl and fi_broon for your responses.
I've not recieved my medical request yet but then again I was quoted 18 months on my AOR regarding interviews which is not due to ellapse until September. Maybe they've had a quick look now to see what needs updating in time for this?. I was also thinking, as I don't have a house to sell, maybe this is why they were checking on the funds again as a house is the last thing most people sell. At least I can take some comfort in that all the other info I initially sent appears (fingers crossed) to be ok.
Good luck with your applications dkvl and fi_broon, I hope they continue to run smoothly.

Thanks for your responses Wannabe and gvanleer. Sorry I couldn't responded quicker but I'm still having a few computer glitches. My police certificate only took 5 days last time, so fingers crossed that it won't dent too much into my time lines.

Yes, I associate the process with the 'Oblivion' ride at Alton Towers.
Good luck to you and yours.

Out of interest, what is it with CHC and Thursdays and Fridays? Is it so the happy recipients can go and have a weekend of celebrations before having to face work, or is it further torment in knowing you cannot phone to get an appointment for medicals at the weekend?
