I'm surprised at the amount of hatred Redditch seems to generate, almost took a job there with AT+T and visiting for interviews found it more of a leafy gem after the train ride through Eastern and Central Birmingham.

... lots of chavs on the streets though..

I'm a former Edgbaston girl - but only until I was about a year old! Then my parents moved to Buckinghamshire and I've been there ever since. So not sure I count really?!? :rofl:

Coventry girl, born and bred.....
Lived on the outskirts in a commuter village (Balsall Common) until I left home at 17 years old. Parents left there last July to move to France. I hopped up and down the country, now in Oswestry, Shropshire. OH moving to Ontario in March, children and I are following in August.... Unless I get a better offer???:rofl:

You are so right.....we are from Sutton Coldfield area also(here at the moment for my elderly father). We now live in Toronto since 96 .Having 3 children 16,20,24 crazy about the Villa they watch more matches in Canada than I see my friends guys watch over here.

Great to see the Villa boys mentioned. I made my final pilgramige to Villa Park for the 2 - 1 victory over Tottenham New Years Day - too scared to go again just in case my final game isn't a victory. How do i get to catch the footie on TV then? is it through Fox Sports?

It's on Setanta. Virtually every game is shown - some are actually live and some are "delayed live". "Delayed live" means it is shown a few hours later. All the matches are also repeated at least once.

I also believe you can gain access to live games via the internet in some way but I think you have to pay?. Maybe just use a search engine on there for a link but next time I speak with my son in Toronto I will get the info unless someone replies to my thread first. Good luck...

Were orginally from the midlands, near Willenhall/Wolverhampton. After a 4 year stint living up in Newcastle (two kids are official geordies!) we finally made the move over to Vancouver!

Not far from the West Midlands, Stratford upon Avon, Australia has a place as bad as Redditch:( it, s called Perth, could not wait to get out of that hole, if you think their is anti-social violence in Redditch try some of the run down area's of PERTH . :curse:
