Based on personal experience you might really regret that message, seriously just because people are expats and experiencing the same type of life change as you, it doesn't stop them from being nutters or worse............ Be careful who you introduce in to your new life, they may end up being there way too long and being way too difficult to get rid of

Take care on your journey of immigration

Sort of advice a mum would give to a six year old?

The vast majority of expats will not be a 'nutter or worse' (what is worse than a nutter?). More likely they may be a little boring. The upside is you could get to know someone like Mistress Miggins.

Part of the experience means it is important, even critical to acquaint oneself with others.

If you carry the above advice the same will be true:

When you get to Canada, be careful who introduce into your new life..
When you start a new job, be careful who introduce into your new life..
Whenever you return home to uk, be careful who introduce into your new life..
When you take your kids to school, be careful who introduce into your new life..
When you move in to a new neighbourhood, be careful who introduce into your new life..

Take the risk, it is a very small one, just say 'no', if this stranger asks you to put their package in your suitcase.
