Hi all, Anybody know what Lethbridge is like? We have been looking at moving to Calgary or Cochrane, but with house prices increasing so fast, we think we may have to go further afield. We are looking for a good family environment as we have two children aged 10 and 12. We recently read an article about Lethbridge and it sounds quite nice - but so do most places when your reading a glossy magazine article! So is there anybody out there who can give us some first hand information on the place?
Cheers

Another from October 2004, it appears Lethbridge is not a popular place for UK immigrants.
But to be honest it's not a place I would move to willingly.

I don't know a whole lot about Lethbridge except I think its main claim to fame is how windy it is ..... and too far into Prairie land for my taste.

They don't call Lethbridge the windy city for nothing. In fact it may be windier than Chicago.

Were moving there in October, nice town, Fantastic for bringing up a new family. The schools that we looked at make the local UK schools look like hostels.
Yes its THE windy city but after spending plenty of time there, it honestly no longer registers on the brain....until you get on the golf course :scared:
Housing is going up so fast, easy to find a place & check ATB for a morgage.....I have to say that as the Father in law runs the place!

Lethbridge is also very nice because there are lots of Mormons. Lots in Alberta all together.
