Of all countries, why move to Canada?
The weather is freezing much of the year, financial opportunities are fewer than found in the UK,and Canada is so spread out that many people compare living there to the old frontier days when north America was being settled.
There are obvious up sides to living in Canada beginning with the people who imo are about the most decent group of nationals of any nation. Also housing is very affordable, the landscape is beautiful, and the pace of life is far less stressful than most western countries.
But is moving to Canada worth starting all over in a foreign country not to mention giving up your well established way of life back home in the UK? Do you have any concerns that this move might be an extreme decision, when all you really need to do is to shake things up abit by moving to a different region of the UK? Why Canada?

Why ask the question?
It's all been done before soooo many times.
Why are you in America?

I think people move to Canada because they feel an affinity for Canadian's two great loves; legislation and administration. I expect most immigrants from the UK find the bureaucratic aspects of the EU attractive but unfulfilling; they come here because they crave more red tape.

Parts of the Newfoundland are spectacular- like Norway; parts of Nova Scotia are pretty; PEI is flat and a little dull; New Brunswick is mediocre; Quebec is spectacular and that is it until you hit the Rockies and BC- yes all a little flat which some might find dull - but the Prairies are unique; well they are supposedly like Siberia which is why Dr Zhivago was filmed there.

I moved to Canada for several reasons. One of them was the fact that I was too lazy to learn another language.
