quick query I know that you have to be here 3 months before the healthcare kicks in but is it 3 months from arrival or 3 months from the date on the medical card?

silly question I know but I was overthinking it and getting confused

Coming from outside Canada you are eligible for Alberta Health Care the moment you arrive, there is no three month wait period.

Should you arrive from another province then there is a three month wait period. However the province you left will cover you for that three month wait.

Alberta health care kicks in right away unless it has been changed recently some other provinces are 3 months.
