Plagues and general types of social nastiness are interchangeable. Who'd have thought rural Canada would be plagued by a vile infestation of fake Burberry sunglasses cases ?
Nothing is sacred, no boundaries unbendable.

Me the hairy arsed warder knows how exactly how you feel mate
My eldest daughter was assaulted in school last year, not to the same extent as your boy, by wee phuckwit chav girls who were jealous of her as she came top of her year again.
I went phuckin radio rental
at the school, tried to get the boys in blue involved, they were not interested and said the school were dealing with it internallyThey told me they had a policy of inclusion, in other words the little cows were not going to be expelled. They hit me with the cognitive skills approach with dealing with violence and bullying.
When I said I was a prison officer and deal with cognitive skills most days in the jail they turned a funny colour of white, shit themselves.
Cognitive skills was pioneered by the Canadian Prison Service years ago.
They ditched it because they proved over a very long period of time it did not work.
What do we do, we bring it into our jails and what happens, it still doesn't work, so what chance do they think it will work on school children who's fathers it was probably tried on !!!!!!
After explaining what I was going to do if this wasn't resolved to my satisfaction and my daughters satisfaction, they duly backed down and expelled the scumbags for one month, whoopeedooo I said !!
Anyway it was like talking to a brick wall with them, really pissed me off about the polis and their attitude. !!!!!!!!
Anyway mate hope he is OK and on the mend
It took our daughter months to get her confidence and her bottle back to feel OK about her school

Crack cocaine is a major one here and its just hitting the jails now, so smack, (heroin), cannabis, jellies, DF118's, etc are all still being taken regular and we now have crack cocaine to deal with.
Did you know that cons now favour smoking heroin, or as they call it chasing the dragon rather than taking cannabis.
We did have a policy of random drug testing and heroin cannot be traced in your body after 3 days.
Cannabis can be traced in your body for up to 30 days, so you can still be caught smoking canabis for up to 30 days after you took it.
Heroin is in and out of your system after just 3 days !!!
This policy was ditched last year as our politically correct leaders deemed it was to expensive maintain, so cons are now having the time of their lifes.
Scotland, or shall I say Glasgow is now the murder capital of the western world, not western Europe but the whole world, way above New York, LA, Toronto, to name a but a few.
Violent crime headlines most daily papers here and on the TV news in Glasgow, you very rarely hear of nice news, all doom and gloom here and its going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Sorry to hear about your lad! Things are better here. My daughter last year had a couple of kids to sleep over - 10/11 year olds. I thought it was all going to be make up and boys and loud music! To my daughters horror and my amazement out came the Barbie dolls. Kids still get to be kids (or they certainley do here in Red Deer)

Having living in both the Uk and Canada. I was surprised that taking drugs was not seen an issue in Canada by many. Smoking cannabis etc seemed not to be a problem, as it was seen as a normally accepted social behaviour, not just with teenager but even people I spoke too in their 50's.
I can remember going into bars in the rural town I lived in Ontario and I noticed guys were openly selling drugs.
A friend of mine(a Scot) was threatened when he caught a couple of guys growing stuff on his land.
I would agree I would not live in Glasgow and on the other hand I would not live in the rough parts of Edmonton where all the Hells Angles run their drug empire.
Have a look at this link.

Scotland de-criminalised cannabis a few years ago, reducing it from a class A drug, you can still be arrested for having it in your posession, but the onus is on the police to prove it is not for personal consumption, if you can prove its for yourself then they tend to let you off with a warning, YEEHAAA says the bam that has it in his posession.
Things are that bad here, my nephew has just finished school, when he started in the school there was always hard drugs that could be bought in the school playground, not outside, away from teachers but actually in the school playground during the childrens breaks
And they wonder why Glasgow has a drug problem when kids as young as 13 have access to drugs like heroin and cannabis in the school.

We are lucky not to experience that type of schooling for myself and our kids. We always live in villages/ small towns in England or small town Canada.
The issue such as drugs you are experiencing in a large city is the reason why I happy to live again in rural area in England. Still problems I assume with drugs like anywhere in the world, but not to the extend you have seen.
I know where were lived in Ontario, drugs/alcohol were a problem especially for the kids from better off families. Taking cannabis etc seemed normal to most people and talking to people at work I found I had different views to drug taking.
We liked our time in Canada in general, but unfortunately you still get the same social problems as you do in the UK. The only benefit is that you can live a long away from the bad areas(as long as you do not mind driving alot).

A tenner being £10 UK pounds, or about $20 CAD
This is a very small wrap of heroin, the heroin being mixed in with all sorts of shit to water the powder down. So not only are you injecting heroin into your veins, but also talcum powder, daz washing powder, flour, fertilizer, infact anything that will thin the heroin.
Stuart you will know what I mean, being an ex bobbie !!!
This gets them enough for about 2 hits, on most occasions one will do depending on how their tolerence is for the drug, to jag up with ( inject ) !!!
I know prisoners who had habits that were costing them £500 per day.
They beg, borrow, mostly steal to fund their habit which leads them into jail.
Drugs the scurge of society !!!!!
