Smile Across Country

Hi Everyone:

Retiring London lad and lass moving from Vancouver, BC to Nova Scotia. Lived in Canada for 25 years [ON & BC] and now want a slower pace of life. Looking for pointers as to where to drop anchor. Any input would be much appreciated.

Wow, welcome to this forum and what an exciting first post. I'm not in NS, but am not so far off in NB, there will be sure to be a number along to tell you the pros and cons of NS from firsthand. What made you make the decision to retire in this direction?

Obviously a lot will depend on your personal preferences and requirements.

Do you want to live in a city, a town, a village? Do you need specific amenities within walking distance?

Do you want to be away from it all and/or own a lot of land. Animals? Farm equipment and/or outdoor "toys"? Do you need somewhere to park a boat?

For a slower pace of life I suggest PEI.

Actually any of the Atlantic Provinces will provide that.

Look for a place that has a decent Legion otherwise you'll be bored spitless.
