Why? and where did i say i hate immigrants?
Just to clarify i said i hate some asians. I also hate some white people
Actually, being Jewish I've had this before, people launching into rants about how much they hate jewish people. But when I tell them I'm jewish, they tell me "I'm ok" or "they have lots of jewish friends who are ok".
Too right its a cliche, and I find it very offensive and racist, and I'm telling you if I was asian I'd find your post very offensive.

My understanding of the post was that they hated the Asian people who had caused them grief that is why the word SOME was used. They were stating fact from their experiences. At the moment I have a problem with white teenagers as they are vandelising my car every weekend.I am not racist against them all, just the idiots that I know are giving me grief and making life difficult and expensive. If they happened to be Asian, chinese,Irish or whatever my statement would say so and I would be stating fact not just picking on a culture.

I think if you dig deep enough you will find some small prejuice against one group or another in everyone. Even in relation to the countries within the UK, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, then you have the UK v Continental Europe. Then all the sub groups within those counties be it by race or lifestyle.
The main thing is to not discriminate based on that prejudice.
You can speak to loads of people in various places in the UK who do not consider themselves racist.....but they hate itinerants (Gypsies) more than likely through their own personal experiences.
In an ideal world we world live in the Star Trek Universe were your race, lifestyle or planet of birth made no difference and everyone was accepted for what they were. But we don't, and I think it's a long way off!!!
I think this thread has been done to death now, and I for one am a little fed up of seeing it on the board. In all honesty i think the original post was about someones experiences and should be taken as such.
Just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

I'd hate to live in the Star Trek Universe if it meant sharing oxygen with that little pratt Wesley Crusher.

Hi Andy and sheila, congratulations
I know I know this thread has died a death! but heres my ten Cents, I have been a PR for 8 months and have so much, it has taken a while to become accumsted to the way of life over here ie being more polite and taking time out even just to open the door and help someone, even talk to a complete stranger and enjoy the drive to work and relaxed approach, but still retaining a professional attitude and outlook.
I worked usually two jobs in UK and only had enough money to enjoy myself no hope of a house or anything, Now i have a wonderful fmaily and also a 2005 ram pickup, will be buying ahouse in 18 months. A career i wanted but never had in UK and vutually no stress, now thta i have a job
As for racisim over here here, it is not the usual between Minorities and majorities because the orgin of most fmailies over here is???
A mix UK/American/russian/china/german/hong kong sorry if i have missed any , but basically what im trying to say is there families have come under one flag the canadian flag and are proud to so! the only bone ive known is the natives but i have no arguments there!
Any way i do miss my family and friends but would not go back for anything!
