Hi all. I'm new to this section of the forum. My son is moving to Maastricht to study. We're having a nightmare finding any accommodation for him. We're constantly being asked to pay registration fees for agents. We've paid a couple but still get no chance on viewing. Is there some kind of racket going on over there?

If anyone has any advice on how to circumvent the sharks it would be much appreciated.

Thanks. We have those and have already paid for that one plus a couple of others with no luck at all. He will be studying at Maastricht University.

Are you local by chance? We're really looking for some first hand experience on where to go to get accommodation. We know there's accommodation available as we see the adverts but we just can't access it or know for sure which of the agencies are real and which are sharks.

The University has quite good public transport connections so accommodation can also be looked for outside of the city.

Registration fees are normal, just use Google for recommendations and reviews.
