Default UK citizen working a 3 month contract in Netherlands

Hello, all

I have a UK limited company setup and have a friend who is a dutch resident who can get me a 3 month job contract working with him.

What do I need to get in place before I go?

I have an UK global health insurance card at hand, do I need to get dutch health insurance before i go or would my health card cover me for such a short stay?

Would I get a work permit with just this or would I need dutch heath insurance before I could get the permit?

Would I need any other insurance like liability insurance for example?

Tax wise I assume I would have to setup for dutch tax, how would i go about this and would I need to pay any UK tax on this upon return?

I have accommodation setup as I would be living with him.

You unfortunately have not said what the work is. But basically you cannot work unless you apply for a visa.

This!

Everything else is moot until you have a visa.

Having done as you want to do....
1: Your GHIC is no good, you have to have a private insurance as "industrial accidents" as such will not get you to a local hospital, well they will but you will need insurance or a credit card........same as in the Uk if not in the NHS..
2: Yep a work permit, see here.....

3: Tax wise... Nope Uk, what you do is bill the Dutch friend (or the company) they pay you and you declare it in the Uk. You cant be taxed in Holland as you are not resident there....

I solved my issues by moving to Spain, but that stops me working elsewhere except the Uk and Spain since Brexit.....unless I get a work permit....
