I remember Tammy girl and being able to afford stuff from there when I got my paper round. Trouble is by that age I didn't want to look like all the rest - I wanted to be different - so I used to go to jumble sales and pick up cheap clothes and then alter them into some cool classy style(or so I thought at the time)...once went out dressed in

A black bin liner
black ankle boots (nicked from my sis)
A belt made from paperclips
fishnet stockings (ripped)
and blue hair

OMG - I am blushing thinking about it....

well i got in a 5 star hotel no problems in my gary newman black jumpsuit with white piping

shell suits i remember them being fashionable

gawd!! i had a purple shell suit with lilac 'flashes' down the sides
and i used to wear the grolsh (sp) bottle tops on my trainers like Bros

but i remember when my dad got a trouser press, must have been late eighties, and he pressed all our trousers- jeans included, so my denims had a seam down the middle you could cut your finger with!!

ha ha i remember getting so annoyed with my mum for putting creases down the front of my jeans
