Re: Are you a sceptic or a believer?

Whilst I do believe in the right of people to personify religion, I do believe there is a higher design but it's just good old physics and energy. I don't believe in God, but I do believe that good old C teaching is not a bad thing - even if it is based on an old crackpot.

I have no time for clairvoyants or mystics, not because they are wrong, but because they are nutters lol.

Exactly I just used the term spirits as that's who or what people that are receptive to communication call it, and lets face it if you start banging on about different dimensions socially your probably classed as even crazier than those that believe in angels and crystals

There's also a thing whereby statistically someone can guess anything with educated, or even good guesses. 'Someone near you will die etc'. If noone dies, then people forget, if someone gets home to find the phrophecy true then it looks amazing.

It reminds me of the work done in the book 'The Black Swan' which is a discourse on nothing other than probability.

And Physics and energy in general is very arcane, all the work done since Einstein 100 years ago sounds still 'fantastic'. If the paranormal is just energy 'supply' then it might be accountable one day. But I don't believe in men with heads missing.

Last week, a few of us were in the lunch room and one person said they were off to see a psychic at the weekend. Out of the 4 of us around the table, I was the only sceptic.

I just find all this stuff so hard to believe but I have met many people who absolutely believe it.

What are your views? Have you had any experiences?

I believe I'm a sceptic, but I'd be sceptical about believing anything I say.
