Bedtime is 8:30 pm after falling asleep on the sofa, and you wake up several times in the night for a pee, and get up at 5am as you can't sleep any longer.

I have started the same DVD and fallen asleep half way through three nights in a row. I am determined to finish it tonight. Perhaps I will start it at 3.30pm to be safe though.

I make tea for my missus but she is sort of high maintenance, unusually for her - normally things come naturally easy to her...I have to pour the water from a great height, let it brew covered by a plate to hand...and then she drinks it about half an hour later...

'Bad'
When blokes your age retire from the more sedate sports...
(it was bad enough 5-10 years ago when they retired from the more challenging ones. Nonetheless, easing up from that cheeky Saturday rugby match even as a nancy-boy winger was a blessed and guiltless relief).
'Not so bad' (Every cloud has a silver lining)
When you realize that men 15 years your junior have put on more weight than you have and have already attained that spread which had thus far eluded you..
'Best'
A life well led. With the promise of more to come!

You know when people describe their life in Australia and you say to yourself 'I must live in a different Australia' because it's so not your experience at all...?
Well I'm 40 and none of this strikes a chord at all. I am obviously in a different universe to all these cardigan wearing pipe smokers. Life just keeps getting better and better.
