Its 30 degrees outside but you have to turn up for work with 2 jumpers, a fleece, a woolly hat and fingerless gloves, and you spend most of your shift drinking soup to try and stay warm And thats a day shift!! Heaven knows what it'll be like in there tonight

QLD government would rather waste thousands on air con than use it to pay wages. At a guess anyway.

When I was younger you used to go to shopping centres and freeze because the air con was so cold. I don't seem to notice it as much these days. I suspect they have it on warmer to save electricity.

The official explanation is that the aircon is programmed to operate with 45 staff in the room.......we only have that many when there is a major operation on. Most of the time the max is 6, overnight its max of 3 - and we have no control over the temps

That reminds me of a time many moons ago when the Red Rose Speedway album came out. On the way home one day my then 11 year old son said how the woman on the cover was very rude because she was topless. I said "Well thanks, so you think Im rude?" As the only female in the house I would be half naked whilst the 5 males would be totally so. His reply was," No Mum. You only do it at home, not where everyone can see."

Your daughter sleeps on the bathroom floor.

You decide that your lily-white legs need to be in a pair of shorts.

You jump into the pool in the middle of the night to keep cool.

You spend most of your gardening time picking up bits of gum tree.
