There's the difference - I am home, this feels more like home that the UK ever did.

I hope you have a great trip back

So just over 2% returned back to the UK last year, within 12 months of migrating

OK, here's some more for you:

386 went back from 19214 who migrated in 2003/4 so that's just over 2%

250 went back from 13157 who migrated in 2002/3 so that's 1.9%

238 went back from 9253 who migrated in 2001/2 so that's 2.6%

So on average it's about 2.16% return, nowhere near 40%

Will go back for occasional visits - 'tis expensive isn't it? - but regarding going back to live ...then a definate, and resounding 'no'

Been here for over two years, and life is just getting better and better.

To be honest the more people that go back to the UK,USA,Canada,Europe etc etc means there will be less water used.

But my answer to the thread is an very definate NO! to ever going back there (UK)to live.We will possibly go back for a holiday in a few years(when the kids are old enough to pay for their own tickets).

I dont understand what the point is of going back for a funeral. There dead, not much you can do for them then. Go when they are alive.

We made it very clear we wouldn't go back for funerals. G's dad is currently ill and isn't expected to last the year, but we won't be attending his funeral.

Might sound awful, but we have no desire to step foot in the UK again.
