It's a catchy tune with words that are spot on in explaining how the EU has got into it's current mess. You can close your eyes for this one as well if you like. But just listen for a change...

Bit like buying into Apple and told its no longer king, humans don't like being told the left wing ideals they have bought into are bringing a mess to the world.

I'm not sure the far right bring destruction but yes supporting far right ideals is not the best either, but far better than being your far left Garry

Once again, I ain't far left. I ain't even left (I don't promote ownership of the means of production). I'm centre - freedom for all and society as the aim. I point up that your ideas are far right because I don't think many on the far right realise quite how extreme they are.

As for if they bring destruction, it's pretty obvious that that's both the aim (under that benign heading of 'small government') and the practical outcome, both in terms of closing down necessary services, and in terms of allowing and even supporting climate destruction.

Just look at the heading of this thread if you want to see how the right wing trumpets the same brand of intolerance and division that they claim to abhor in islam. You'd have thought it might have rung bells, but no.

Can you honestly say that Islam is not the root reason for the Brussells bombings? It is. Lets call a spade a spade.

Personally I don't buy into multi culture failing. There's plently of examples where it succeeds.

But on this particular topic lets be brutally honest with ourselves and stop trying to please the left.

It's an inconvenient truth for the left but without a shred of doubt Islam is the root reason for the bombings in the EU. And the ones before those. And the ones before those. And the ones before those.

Look, as I've pointed out before, its religion that's at the heart of it. Anyone who puts and ideology at the centre of their life becomes a problem - if you live for a god, you'll die for one, and you'll certainly kill for one.

And we know that its not just islam that's the problem, you only need to look at the US, or for that matter ireland, to see that.

Real question is, why would someone go from not really believing in a particular religion to being willing to kill/die for it - because its the answer to THAT specific question that gets to the root of it.

And there would be a simple a simple answer to that. Ban religion. Unfortunately your US and Irish examples are localised. Contained and to some degree controlable.

Islam is not a localised issue.

Yet another failure to spell multiculturalism in the thread title and apparently it is BrusselLs sprouts that I have detested since childhood when my parents tried to feed me plentLy of them.

The religion is not the problem, it is the interpretation of it by the thugs and lunatics (the guys responsible have a history of offences to do with guns, burglary and car jacking). Blaming the religion is not logical as the overwhelmingly vast majority of its followers are not thugs and lunatics.

A few points for discussion - Donald Trump makes millions from Muslim countries using Muslim employees which seems to make him a bit of a hypocrite (or hipocrite as some would have it). He also asked Alec Salmond to get rid of the offshore wind turbines off the coast of his new golf development in Aberdeenshire (but makes millions from investments in .... wind turbines). Donald Trump makes millions in Muslim countries - Dec. 8, 2015

You cannot 'undo' multiculturalism. Just before we left Melbourne they had a multicultural festival in Footscray which tens of thousands attended and enjoyed. One right wing lunatic plastered ethnic businesses in Footscray with swastikas before the event. Do we get rid of all right wingers on this basis?

Lunatics and thugs like to belong to something and justify their abhorrent behaviour on this basis (to themselves but not satisfactorily to others).

Why would someone support a football club and then arrange to fight the supporters of a rival football club? Did we blame West Ham FC for example for the inter-city thugs who do idiotic things in its name? (read Islam for WHFC etc)

Wasn't it the National Socialists who loved to plaster swastikas all over the place?

A common political spectrum used is (from left to right) - communist, socialist, green, liberal, christian democtrat, conservative and right wing extremist.

Nazi (national socialist) and socialist are slightly different terms! Nazis are right wing extremists to the right of conservatives.

It's not easy to firmly position some people on such a spectrum because you can be left on one issue ('for movement') and right on another ('for order' or no change).
