Wasn't a meal as such but a cup of pea and ham soup in Chapel St .I fished out a cows eyelid complete with lashes.

I love pea & ham soup...but I didn't know there were cows in it!

Name & shame the venue please!

Waitress came to the table to start the flame and grease the wok. But first she had to pick the bugs out of the lump of whatever sort of fat it was in the dish. Dozens and dozens of black bugs. Then we went up to get our food which was just big open trays of room temperature meats of unknown origin with the same black bugs, but this time in the hundreds and not dozens, and soggy green things I tell myself were vegetables.

Did I mention the litter of kittens under my table? The mother cat kept trying to jump up on the table to get to our dinner. Feral, mangy, flea infested cat.

You know I'm starting to regret starting this thread. I thought it was just going to be cold pies and rude waiters......

Paella in a shit coastal village/town in Spain. Obviously processed in a factory a million miles away and then defrosted and heated in a microwave. However it was part of the worse holiday we've ever had so that didn't help.

A pizza in some fancy arse restaurant on Santorini.

I had a good mind to take a dump in their pool.

Your first mistake was picking Spain. ;)

:D Had a couple of good holidays there previously. Put me off going again though. Maybe moving to Aus was a tad drastic

I am being harsh, I've never been there ... looks like too many Poms and 'English Style Breakfast!" for my liking. You'd never get that here

That would work if you had a poor diet and were producing floaters but having seen your previous posts about food and diet I think your stool would drop to the bottom like a lead ingot. Ergo the effect would be some what lost.

You have a point. I have found extra vitamin C and upping the leafy veg is helping though.

the worst meal I ever had put in front of me.....was when I was in hospital for a short stay and they served up this big gloopy pile of yellowy gunk - apparently this was 'macaroni cheese' - suffice to say it looked like it had already been eaten and regurgitated back onto my dinner plate. Hubby went out to chip shop to purchase fish supper for me.....

Be honest though - did you tick the box on the menu that said "Big Gloopy Pile of Yellowy Gunk" because if you did you have only yourself to blame.

Aha... You could be wrong there mate.... Most public hospitals you fill in the menu for what you want TOMORROW... Hence, whoever was in that bed yesterday ordered the Big gloopy pile of yellowy gunk.... You just inherit their choice....

I had completely forgotten the breakfast I was given in hospital recently. Vanilla yogurt and tomato juice.

Now don't get me wrong, I like both of those things. Just not together and not for breakfast.

The meal I had on monday wasnt crash hot.... Butter chicken... Straight out the jar with some cream swirled in.... Sold as home made for $20

The only authentic thing about that curry was it gave me "delhi belly" after eating it

All from the the pub that prides itself as "english style pub, but without the English"

no names no pack drill
