The worst cover version of a song ever?

I have to say that Madonna's "American Pie" comes pretty high up on the list... also when All Saints covered "Under the Bridge"....

Then it got me thinking, what other "stinkers" are out there?

Any thoughts?

Almost any 'wannabe' star doing a national anthem at a major event.

They almost invarably have to put their own 'stamp' on the anthem. Throwing in a variety of high notes that they would never achive on the best singing day they ever had.

With lots of strange warbles and gargalling noises thrown in for good measure.

James Noll(?) the tool that won some pathetic Wanne Be A Star mong show.
He bought out "My big black car" so funny in being bad, then the 'tard went all soppy and heavy duty all serious with his cover of Moving Pictures
"What About Me"
So lame it isn't even funny:thumbdown::thumbdown:
The lead singer of Moving Pictures would be rolling in his grave-and he isn't even dead yet!

A shitty band called Orgy covered New Orders classic Blue Monday . I remember an interview (At the height of their fame )on MTV and describing themselves as “somewhere between David Bowie and Joy Division.” The only way to make that sentence anywhere near being remotely truthful is to replace the words “David Bowie” with the words “fleeting, ill-gotten success” and the words “Joy Division” with the words “total obscurity.”

I heard this song just the other day & all I wanted to do after this assult on my ears was to go out & punch some kittens . So be warned
