Why move to Australia
#32
Move to Queensland if you:
Want to eat pies
Are a little bit/very racist
Love spending half the year in air conditioning/smeared in factor 30 dripping in your eyes
Adore Cold Chisel and/or 80s soft rock
Have the skin tone to carry high visibility work wear
Enjoy fishing and carrying your dead piscine around like some form of macho prize
Have learning difficulties

To all 'regulars', perhaps you could remember that not all 'newbies' will understand the 'humour' in The Barbie. Perhaps trying to be smart isn't always the best move.
Connection, if you click on the link to the Immigration Forum, you'll find loads of useful support without the 'rough and tumble' you'll find in here.
You need to first find out if you're eligible for a visa, if you use the link given to you by Rasen and down on the left hand side is a link to the Wizard to work it out.
Off topic, personally I love the weather and to me it is indeed 'great weather'.

Seriously thinking of moving to Australia but still unsure whether to move or not. Both our families are here so would miss them. Predicament is whether to back to college here in Ireland and get a career or just bite the bullet and go to Oz. I understand it will be a different lifestyle over there and great weather. I'm 30 and my partner 28. Really in two minds about it. Any words of wisdom? Thanks

You prefer ads to actual tv programmes
You like to drive slowly, yet aggresively
(In much of the country) You enjoy waking up in a cold house with condensation on the windows
You earnestly believe that you live in the best country in the world, yet have never or barely been abroad
You believe that people who rent houses and/or do not own a car are extremely abnormal
