And who would they be then?

Of course it's their (marketing) word. They do claim 99.98% success rate overall though.

Yes it's them. I suppose we could ask them to prove it, but there's no point really.

If others failed on skills assessment, I'd be very surpirised because they made sure ours was up to a high passing standard before submitting it, which it was. So I would recommend them. Skills assessment was the main reason we used them as apposed other agents.

As for the small % that didn't get visa's I can't say. there could be a million reasons.

I don't have any (much) hair.

But as long as my visa arrives, the circle will be complete.

Because people are lazy and cant be bothered, or have more money than sence, and think by paying a agent they will get in faster.. Rubbish.....

I can understand the use for Business migrants, but when it comes down to the everyday Joe.... how much do they charge and what is the point.... Why dont they post reguarly in the Barbie or the Australia forums... are they keeping a low profile on purpose.

Maybe I could become one... I know enough tradies here.... is there lots of money to be made ?

Basically, so long as you're happy with the service that's the main thing.

Totally agree, some people need a agent, to get here, but i was speaking on a general note, and from my experiance of talking to Uk people, who just paid a agent to get here, because they had be brain washed/told that was the best thing to do. And i was not pointing you out as lazy, but alot of people are. So I apologies to the 10% of the Uk people who are not lazy.

We started off with the agent you are talking about and should have known better when the 'specialist IT' consultant assigned to us didn't know the difference between a main frame and a pc. They misadvised us on the ACS and we were successful applying for the cat B which they said we didn't qualify for. They also misadvised us on the Sept 08 visa changes and tried to make us apply for the bond instead of the IELTS for 10 additional points - which would have been a disaster as the bond avenue was locked for months due to shock changes in the system.

I have to say BE saved us from all these pitfalls and it was with the help and advice of the good people of BE that we avoided visa disaster NOT the agent.

This same agent then tried to blackmail us into signing a stat dec waiving our rights to legal redress... MARA put them straight on that one.

After we sacked this agent we did the rest of the application ourselves and it was straight forward if stressful not having someone to ask if you have done the correct thing. So I can understand why people use an agent, (a good one!)

If your case was straight forward you're an idiot. You still have to do the donkey work in colating everything for them, and there are still forms that need completing.
