thats what ruined it for me too. I used to go to Cambridge alot (seeing as we wernt too far) but the traffic is a bloody nightmare. Put me off it.

Bakewell is a very pretty little spot - might perswade the OH to take a drive there for the afternoon. I want to eat by the big pond again and watch the kids terrorise the ducks..

funnily enough it's not. Its out in the middle of nowhere and if you are not careful you will miss it.

It's a tiny village, very picturesque, with a few houses and a handful of businesses.

Last time we went it was sunny, we went walking up and down the steam, there were people painting and reading just sat in the middle of these fields - like something out of a book.

If the oH cant sleep he goes for a drive around the peak distict which is 5 minutes from here.

Thats another good place - Ladybower and all the rest of it.
