Welcome to BE, there is a nursing forum on this site under the working abroad section, any nursey questions can be answered there.
Not sure where I'm headed but people on here will only be too happy in giving info on the various area's.
link for housing
www.realestate.com.au is a good site to give you an idea of house prices.
Before you know it you will be hooked on this site

Very nice site! Thankyou! Looking at the little red dots showing where each city is, just goes to show just how massive Australia is compared to the UK.
How much bigger is it, 15/16 times bigger?

Also don't forget that there are masses of other places ie not state capitals where the weather etc is different from those mentioned. So don't forget the rest of the country.
Who was it said this migration lark was easy - come on, put your hand up

I think you really need to examine why you want to come first, rather than ease of visits or anything to do with the pets.
it's a very big move and very stressful as it is: those concerns can come a lot further down the line! <g>

I'm in Australia - been here 15 months. Be very careful with agencies - many people use them and are OK but there are a lot of sharks out there. Unless you hae a complicated application it's not that difficult DIY'ing.
