The day we went to go up (after the lifts had re-opened after some explosion or other which closed it down for a couple of months), the fish tank burst in the Dubai Mall (which adjoins the tower) so we couldn't physically get to the entry for the tour. I took that as a sign that it wasn't meant to be. Could sit on my roof and look at it all night anyway, that was close enough for me.

i would probably climb if i get parachute/gliding training and if they allow parachutes/glides inside.
