As you asked for local I think I would have to give it to Eureka tower. The only skyscraper I know that is bleeding

Eureka Tower, Melbourne, Australia by Chris&Steve, on Flickr

I like both the Flatiron and Chrysler buildings above for overseas candidates...

Not a skyscraper in sight (ok, not many) but this city contains some of my favourite urban landscapes.

One of the most underrated cities in the world. You Brits should know it

Outside my locality I love the Burj al Arab in Dubai- beautiful, shaped like a ship's sail and glorious to look at when the light display is on and you are in the hotel bar opposite sipping your cocktails.....that was the life.

In Sydney it has to be the blue AXA- now credit suisse- building on circular quay, cos that's where OH works. It is an amazing view from the 44th floor, particularly on NYE when the fireworks are going off and you are sipping champagne.

Hang on...do I detect a theme here? Do all buildings look better when you are drinking??

Sorry there's no pics- I'm not a tecchie.

Is that in Tooley St ??? It looks like it's built right over the top of a building I worked in briefly ?

Ahaaa looked it up. Over the top of London Bridge Station.

Boy London has changed since I left. Canary wharf, the docklands precinct, O2... that footbridge the London Eye and all those new transport links.

Now this thing, I'd have to see it in person to make up my mind. I feel very distant from my past now. I've got a few cousins that live within distance still around Bermondsey and the Elephant.

Here's my favourite, because of what it means to me. It represents my Childhood, family and the formative me. When It used to appear from a distant place on The Skyline it meant I was close to home.
