intresting question do you ever say thank you for busting a pimple and bringing home the bacon? I think not yet you expect concideration for your half of the job one goes out and does the other stays home and does .i do believe that one should help at home but why do you expect a pat on the head every day ? may be your OH should give you some of the grief they copped at work during the day so you don't feel left out

just a thought ;)

That's very condescending. Yes, actually, my OH is aware of how clever I think he is, and I regularly bolster him up when his flagging confidence gets the better of him. Yes, I am thankful to him and I have said that and he knows it.
He doesn't go out to work, he works from home, so he decides his work hours without any boss hanging over his head.
What grief do you think he gets that I don't with three children and starting my own business, plus a house to take care of?

Just a thought, but an intelligent one. ;)

just the other side of the coin , don't get bent out of shape, I did not mean to imply you ignored you oh's efforts or he yours but the question is asked regularly does "hubbie" (the working partner ) do enough but the reverse is never concidered .I have been at home with 4 kids and I understand the hell that can be that is why I send flowers cook meals and even wash up on occasion . very rearly does anyone consider how hard it can be to go to work , have your entire life dictated when to pee ,eat talk to whom how long etc have you sent him flowers at work?;)

If they stayed in the kitchen and the bedroom, who'd put you in your booster seat and drive you to big school?
