Nice enough beach though.... Along with the 1,000's of others we have here. I've got my hopes up about Byron Bay now... hope that doesnt disappoint.
Oxford Circus. Brighton. The West End.

Oops, sorry are we talking about Oz?

The same could be said for some of the places already mentioned.

I went to see the dish. I thought it was awesome. I photographed it too. Stayed in the local town and ended up dancing with a sheep farmer for the evening. I loved it so much, I went back again last year.

My wife was born in Parkes and has plenty of family there. I'm so glad I dont have to live there.

Ok not so much a place, but I'd say Sydney's climate! Sometimes the climatic charts do not reveal some of annoyances such as the erratic springs, variability due to La Nina etc.

I just expected more sunny, beach days....

I went to Jodrell Bank but it never made me want to dance with a farmer.

Brighton, Melbourne. We went there on a bus, walked for ages to try & find the town centre. Couldn't find anything of interest (although the beach shacks were pretty) Took a pic at the railway station (as we're from Brighton, UK) and then got a train back to the CBD. I understand people pay top $ to live in this part of Oz, but couldn't quite see why

Yeah, Parkes isn't so nice. Forbes is lovely - got some beautiful old buildings and it's where they shot The Dish film. But like all rural places, they know a lot about sheep and not much else. When i said I was from the Blue Mountains, they were introducing me as the 'girl from the city'. I have to say, they were the friendliest bunch of people. I had a blast. Apart from the 20 minute convo about sheep dips.

You lucked out there. I had to keep him dancing so he'd stop talking about sheep.
